AA-Team America
This week we examined the movie Team America as an example of good director/composer/sound designer collaboration. As a movie that has only voice actors played by marionettes the sound for the film has to be well thought out as it is the music which provides the realism needed to back the visuals.There are 5 types of film music;
Theme Music
-This is the main themeatic material wich is repeated throughout the film
Mood Music
-Used to present emotional weight
Character Music
-Music which is associated with specific characters, think Darth Vader, Imperial March
Environmental Music
-Music which is accosiated with specific locations
Action Music
-Mimics onscreen action, speed, motion, fighting etc
